If the dropoff was more generous, if the max damage was a little higher (I'm happy with a base 59, for Hardcore players), if the gun's bullet velocity wasn't so slow that leading targets is a huge struggle, if the gun actually used a 2.35x headshot multiplayer like all Recon primaries do. Ultimately what holds it back is the damage output. Maybe an aggressive Recon's favorite, beating out the godly Scout. If DICE altered its stats just a tiny bit in the right direction, it'd be a wonderful gun. It how I use it and I can say I enjoy using it for my more aggressive, squad teamwork sniping. The fact that you don't have to rechamber each round means it beats bolt actions at hitting whole squads at once. The game is team based, a kill for the squad is a kill for you. You see a whole squad coming at your squad? Pop off a few rounds, you'll either get a kill, hurt them enough so they'll stop trying to engage your squad, or stay in cover long enough for your squad to flank them and get the kill. It has the ability to engage multiple targets easier than a bolt action while still having the same suppressive capabilities of an LMG. But you're recon, your main objective is simply to spot and engage if necessary. Follow up shots are easy too, I've uses it at ranges that require a 40X scope and easily killed people without headshots. People says that it can be outclassed by a DMR at close range and a Bolt action at long range, but what people aren't seeing is that it beats a DMR at long range and a bolt action at close range. Watching your squad capture a flag from a safe distance.
